Technology

The Tulip technology is highly appropriate for emergency situations. Light, small, affordable, and simple to use and transport, our water filters can give a family clean water for one year in a post-emergency situation.

Rapid response

Basic Water Needs understands that any emergency situation requires rapid and vigorous action. Victims need access to safe drinking water to prevent diseases like cholera and diarrhoea from spreading. Basic Water Needs is able to respond quickly during emergency situations; in the Philippines in 2013, we were able to respond rapidly and delivered water filters within one week after the devestating Typhoon Haiyan. We have also provided water filters – via agents – to Oxfam India to be used in emergency response efforts to the severe Gorkha earthquake that struck Nepal in 2015.

Do you want to deliver water filtration products to post-emergency situations and are you interested in the Tulip water filters, please contact us directly at +31 653 321 716.

Relief to Recovery

Not only during the initial humanitarian relief phase do people need access to safe drinking water, but also during the recovery phase. This is why, after the initial relief, we try to work together with local partners to build up a sustainable supply chain for our products. One example of this is in the Philippines where, after the emergency response in 2013 and 2014, we are now working together with several partners to create sustainable access to both water filters and spare parts.
